Introducing Yoga with Baby Classes!

I’m excited to announce a new collection of classes - Yoga with Baby!

This was born (pun completely intended) out of the necessity (wish?) to get my daughter onto the yoga mat with me as I recovered postpartum and started back to teaching. As I prepared to start back to work it was hard for me to make time for my own practice. But if I brought her with me to the mat we could easily spend anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour moving, having fun, and bonding while I reacquainted myself with my body.

What do the classes entail?

  • Some classes are focused on movement for the adult while interacting with (or wearing) Baby.

  • Some classes are focused on those of us who are postpartum while bonding with Baby.

  • And some classes are focused on movement FOR Baby.

So here’s the plan: as she grows so will these offerings.

Currently all the available classes are geared towards little ones who are pre-crawling, because that’s where my little one is at. As that changes so will the classes.

The thing that I love so much about this collection is that these practices are for you and your little one. They are an opportunity for you to move, for the two of you to interact, and it offers a unique bonding experience between you and baby. (That last bit is my favorite part.) Whether you are Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, nanny, whoever you may be - this is a new way to help baby interact with you and experience movement and the space around them.

I’m so excited about this, and I hope some of you are too! f you have any question or comments let me know through the comment box at the bottom of this page.

These classes are available as part of the Yoga Class Library.

You can also check out a sample class for free here.

November Newsletter

Happy November Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Halloween weekend. This is your friendly update about the class schedule, Yoga Class Library Membership, class passes, and generally what's going on.

Announcements

I'm excited to let everyone know that I'm pregnant! I'm just entering my second trimester, and am due at the very beginning of May. So what does this mean for yoga classes? Right now nothing is changing, but over the next few weeks and months I will have to begin scaling back what I can demonstrate during classes. This doesn't mean that what I am teaching will change, merely what I am able to demonstrate or do with you. As always I love questions, so always feel free to ask questions or ask for clarification, especially if it's during a movement that I can't physically show you at the time. We'll figure it out together. My goal is to teach until the middle of April at which time I will start my maternity leave with a goal to restart classes as soon as I am medically able - hopefully around the middle of June. While I am out on maternity leave the Yoga Class Library Membership will be up and running so that you can continue to follow your yoga schedule, with all of your favorite classes available there.

Private Sessions and Yoga Therapy
I love to help people learn about their movement patterns and habits and use that knowledge to help them move more comfortably and efficiently, and reduce their pain. I currently have a few available spots to work 1-on-1. If you are interested in learning more about how you move and how you can move with more ease, I'd love to hear from you. There is also more information up on the website which you can check out here. I work with people either virtually via Zoom or in-person at my office at Sand Springs Chiropractic & Wellness or at The Yoga Underground.

Purchasing Classes, Passes, and Library Membership

If you want to join a class simply choose a class off the class schedule. When you find the class you want click on it, then click "Add to Cart"; you will be redirected to the purchase page for that class. Once you finish checking out on the website you will immediately receive a purchase receipt.
If you purchased a Virtual class you will receive a second email the day of the class from yogawithleta@gmail.com with the ZOOM link for the class. *Please note that I will stop sending links 10 minutes before the class’s start time, so I recommend purchasing a bit in advance to avoid any last minute stress.* You can use Zoom on any internet-connected device.

Monthly Passes - I am offering two types of Monthly Passes, and that is the Virtual November Monthly Pass - Healthy Living and the Virtual November Monthly Pass - Gentle. Once you purchase a Monthly Pass, then you will receive a link before each of your scheduled classes; this saves you from having to log on and purchase each class individually. *If you ever miss a class (get stuck at work, lose track of time, etc.) I will automatically send you the link to view the class recording.

Yoga Class Library Membership - The newest available membership gives you on-demand access to the collection of recorded classes that I have taught since last March. They are separated by type of class to help you find what you're looking for with ease, and over the next few months I will continue to add more classes from my archive as well as all new class recordings. So you will never have to worry about adjusting your schedule to make it to a class again! The Membership is $25/month and you can sign up here.

Scheduling & Cancellations for November

- I will be in a training week for my Yoga Therapy certification program at the beginning of this month from the 2nd through the 9th. So, there will be a few pre-recorded classes during this time. If you purchase a monthly pass you will receive the link to your prerecorded class at 8am CDT the morning of the class, if you purchase one of these classes separately you will receive the link at 6am CDT the morning class is scheduled, or if purchasing after that time I will get the link out as soon as possible.
- There will also be NO Chair Yoga at Sand Springs Chiropractic & Wellness this coming Wednesday the 3rd. See you on the 10th!

There is a LOT of information here, so if you have any questions please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify. Also - please spread the word, leave me a review on Google or Facebook, post about your class, or just join me for a class.

Thanks for reading along to the end, stay safe, and I hope to see you soon!

How to Live Stream Yoga

So, how it works:

Choose a class off our Virtual Yoga schedule. When you see the one you want click on it; you will be redirected to the purchase page for that class. Once you finish checking out you will get an emailed receipt and then you will get a 2nd email with the link for the ZOOM class. *Please note that I will stop sending links 10 minutes before the class’s start time, so I recommend purchasing a bit in advance to avoid any last minute stress.*

If you are using a laptop or desktop computer you will click the embedded link in the email and when prompted click “Open Link”.

If you are using a smart phone or tablet you will need to download the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app before the class, then click the embedded link in the email. Please don’t share the link with anyone else.

For the next week I will have classes up and running about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time just so you have time to get setup, ask me questions, troubleshoot, whatever we need to do.

If you are doing a private class you will have the option to stream video back to me (so that I can see you). If you are in a general class your video will not be enabled. I will be visible to everyone but no-one (including me) will see you. If your device has a microphone (almost everything does) we can talk and answer questions before we start then I will mute everyone's mics. If you don't have a microphone but need to ask a question there is a text chat that we can use. In a pinch feel free to email me - I will have my laptop next to me before we get started.

If you can’t find a class that you like please let me know! I'll see what I can do.

Please email with any questions and I will do my very best to help in any way I can. Thank you so much for your patience and support.

With gratitude,

- Leta (The Yogi)

COVID-19 Yoga Update

Due to COVID-19 The Yoga Underground is closed until further notice in compliance with Mayor Bynum’s executive order issued 3/17/2020. In addition to this I have also ceased ALL in-person yoga classes until the Mayor’s executive order is rescinded.

In order to continue serving you during this time I am offering live streaming classes through ZOOM at a reduced rate of $12 per class. This will help to continue paying the online operating costs, studio rent, and all the other bills that pile up on all of us. So, check out our new Virtual Yoga schedule and if you can’t find what you’re looking for please let me know! Please email with any questions and I will do my very best to help in any way I can. Thank you so much for your patience and support. I appreciate you.
