Announcements
For those of you who may not have heard yet - I'm excited to let everyone know that I'm pregnant! I'm due at the very beginning of May.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to offer their congratulations - I haven't replied to everyone directly, but please know how much I've appreciated all of your notes.
So what does this mean for yoga classes? Right now nothing is changing, but over the next few weeks and months I will have to begin scaling back what I can demonstrate during classes. This doesn't mean that what I am teaching will change, merely what I am able to demonstrate or do with you. As always I love questions, so always feel free to ask questions or ask for clarification, especially if it's during a movement that I can't physically show you at the time. We'll figure it out together. My goal is to teach until the middle of April at which time I will start my maternity leave with a goal to restart classes as soon as I am medically able - hopefully around the middle of June. While I am out on maternity leave the Yoga Class Library Membership will be up and running so that you can continue to follow your yoga schedule, with all of your favorite classes available there.
December Classes
Group Classes
Sand Springs Chiropractic - My Chair Yoga class is on Wednesdays from 11:30am-12:30pm. Cost is $10 per session. You can pay in-person before class starts, or reserve your spot and pay in advance through my website.
Live Streaming - I am offering 3 classes each week via live streaming through ZOOM: Gentle Yoga on Mondays and Healthy Living Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Check out this month's schedule on the website.
The Yoga Underground - The studio is currently OPEN on Saturday (10:15-11:30) mornings and is once again open to walk-ins. Please note that masks are required in the studio until you are on your yoga mat. You can look at the full studio schedule here.
TU-Collins Fitness Center - For those of you who have access to the CFC classes continue to run through December 17th. Until then, I am there teaching on Thursdays from 12:15-1:00pm and Saturdays from 12:30-1:20pm.
Private Sessions and Yoga Therapy
I love to help people learn about their movement patterns and habits and use that knowledge to help them move more comfortably and efficiently, and reduce their pain. I currently have a few available spots to work 1-on-1. If you are interested in learning more about how you move and how you can move with more ease, I'd love to hear from you. There is also more information up on the website which you can check out here. I work with people either virtually via Zoom or in-person at my office at Sand Springs Chiropractic & Wellness or at The Yoga Underground.
New Studio Classes Coming in January!
January 2022 is going to be exciting at The Yoga Underground!
First up: Beginning January 4th I'll be offering a 5-week series: Therapeutic Yoga for your Neck and Shoulders. This is a beginner-friendly class series focused on helping you to become more aware of how you move, and how you can move better; primarily in your shoulders, arms, neck, and upper back. So if you know that by the end of this year you'll be carrying extra stress and tension in your neck, shoulders, or upper back (or if it's there already) this is the series for you! Sign up early - there is a minimum enrollment of 4 students for this series, so make sure to enroll here before January 1st.
Next up: *Shannon* is going to be back on Wednesdays from 12-1pm with a 6-week class series beginning January 5th to help you start your year off with some awesome yoga time! Sign up early - there is a minimum enrollment of 4 students for this series. So grab that friend who keeps saying they want to get back into yoga (or try it for the first time), and enroll here before January 1st. Want to join but can't make some of the classes? Good news, if minimum enrollment is met these classes will be available for drop-ins!
Purchasing Classes, Passes, and Library Membership
If you want to join a class simply choose a class off the class schedule. When you find the class you want click on it, then click "Add to Cart"; you will be redirected to the purchase page for that class. Once you finish checking out on the website you will immediately receive a purchase receipt.
Monthly Passes - I am offering two types of Monthly Passes, and that is the Virtual December Monthly Pass - Healthy Living and the Virtual December Monthly Pass - Gentle. Once you purchase a Monthly Pass, then you will receive a link before each of your scheduled classes; this saves you from having to log on and purchase each class individually. *If you ever miss a class (get stuck at work, lose track of time, etc.) I will automatically send you the link to view the class recording.
Yoga Class Library Membership - The newest available membership gives you on-demand access to the collection of recorded classes that I have taught since last March. They are separated by type of class to help you find what you're looking for with ease, and over the next few months I will continue to add more classes from my archive as well as all new class recordings. So you will never have to worry about adjusting your schedule to make it to a class again! The Membership is $25/month and you can sign up here.
Scheduling & Cancellations
- The Yoga Underground will be closed on December 25th, and January 1st. There will be special all new PreRecorded classes available for purchase in lieu of the usual In-Studio classes on both of these days.
